The Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival has just announced its 2022 season, which will run from June 8 to September 24.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the summer theatre festival will be back with live performances in Vancouver's Vanier Park.

Directed by Scott Bellis, the audience favourite A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed on the BMO Mainstage, and run continuously throughout the festival.

“We’re thrilled that our Festival will be back onstage after a deeply challenging two years," says BOTB artistic director Christopher Gaze in a press release. "Our lead production, Dream, perfectly captures what we want to share as we all recover--it’s a true celebration of hope and joy that will lift the spirits of everyone who sees it."

The program will also include, on the Howard Family Stage, the Cherissa Richards-directed Harlem Duet, running from June 15 to July 17, and the Anita Rochon-directed Romeo and Juliet, from August 3 to September 24.

The festival will also feature a range of concerts and special events, and you can find more details and tickets here.
