B.C. Lions lose quarterback Travis Lulay to shoulder injury

The B.C. Lions will be without starting quarterback Travis Lulay for at least their next two games. The team made the announcement this afternoon (September 17) two days after Lulay was forced to leave Sunday’s 36-14 victory over Montreal at B.C. Place.

Lulay hurt the shoulder on his throwing arm when he was hit hard on a fourth quarter touchdown scamper. It’s the same shoulder Lulay injured late in last year’s regular season.

In Lulay’s absence, second-year quarterback Thomas DeMarco will make his first CFL start on Sunday in Saskatchewan in a key West Division showdown. The 7-4 Lions sit third in the division and have seven games left in their regular season—three against the Roughriders and two against Calgary.
