While the nonbinary musician readily admits that most of their 10th full-length draws on their own experience, they’ve found a way of making it a gift for all of us who, from time to time, feel the gravitational pull of the void.

The album title is a nod to the kind of surrender that comes along with becoming fully adult, with seeing your friends, cousins, and bandmates become parents, with taking on a serious job.
