After Whalley shooting, Surrey RCMP find one man dead and another male injured

      A shooting in the Whalley and City Centre area of Surrey has resulted in one man being hospitalized while another man has died.

      Just before 11 p.m. on December 1, Surrey RCMP received a report of gunfire in the 13600 block of 114th Avenue.

      Officers arriving at the scene found a man who had died and a male who has sustained injuries from gunshot wounds. The injured male was hospitalized in serious condition.

      Both victims are known to police and the shootings are believed to be targeted.

      The Integrated Homicide Investigation team (IHIT) has taken over the case.
