Get a first look inside Prophecy, the new bar inside the Rosewood Hotel Georgia

At long last, a prophecy will be fulfilled on May 22 with the opening of a new cocktail bar in downtown Vancouver.

Taking over the old Prohibition spot beneath the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Prophecy will offer an extensive cocktail program inspired by tales of lore, modern anecdotes, and various creative minds. With accents of gold, velvet, and marble, this place oozes luxury.

Like any good story, the drinks menu—called the Cocktail Book—takes you on a journey with its libations. Step into a Secret Garden with a Tio Pepe Fino Sherry blended drink, inspired by the Frances Hodgsom Burnett novel. Or transport yourself to Japan with the impressive Washoku (which translates to “harmony food or Japanese food”), an A5 Wagyu fat-washed whiskey cocktail served with a skewer.

Need a bit of guidance? The Cocktail Book is written to direct you towards your preferred palette: spirit-forward, refreshing, herbaceous, or lush. There is also a cheekily-named Short Story section for those looking for shots, with a rotating Community Cheers drink that’s part of a monthly charitable initiative.

Prophecy is located at 801 West Georgia. It opens on May 22.
