Chillin’ in the Park is a new free music and beer festival in Mount Pleasant

Locals already know that Mount Pleasant’s Guelph Park (also known as Dude Chilling Park) is a great place for laid-back vibes all summer long. Its tall trees provide plenty of shade, and its central location means it’s easy to grab takeout from AJ’s or Carp—making the park a favourite among Vancouverites.

This summer, the Mount Pleasant BIA is adding to the park’s cachet with Chillin’ in the Park: a new music and beer festival launching on July 27. The one-day event features local indie bands and musicians, including Fionn, Farhaven, The Lunchtime Band, Weak Knees, Kandy Roar, and DJ Jesus Cuervo. The Pleasant, Pizza Pizza, Main Street Brewing, Brassneck Brewing, and Steamworks will serve food and brews onsite.

After the performances, the festivities will move indoors to The Pleasant for an after-party—details of which will be shared at a later date.
