The Funk Hunters to headline New West’s Uptown Live street festival

Boasting that it is New Westminster’s largest street music festival, Uptown Live has just announced its lineup for this year's party, which will take place on July 27.

At the intersection of 6th Avenue and 6th Street, attendees can participate in interactive exhibits, take in dance performances, browse local vendors, and get takeout from dozens of different Lower Mainland food trucks before making their way toward one of two stages onsite.

The Funk Hunters, Vancouver-based a duo known for its mix of retro funk music made modern with an electronic twist, will headline this year’s festival. Also performing on the main stage is Side One, a multi-genre band, and Sambacouver, a Vancouver-based performance of Brazillian music.
