The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been spotted on southern Vancouver Island.

According to the Times Colonist, they were seen hiking in Horth Hill Regional Park, which offers views of the Gulf Islands and the Saanich Peninsula.

The paper also reported that security guards working for Prince Harry and his wife Meghan spoke to the co-owner of the Deep Cove Chalet in North Saanich.

Last week, Buckingham Palace revealed that the couple and their son Archie would be spending the holiday season in Canada, but didn't divulge where.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sent a welcoming message over Twitter on December 20.

“Prince Harry, Meghan, and Archie, we’re all wishing you a quiet and blessed stay in Canada," Trudeau stated. "You’re among friends, and always welcome here.”
