Destroyer to play Commodore Ballroom on November 9

Destroyer’s Dan Bejar has spent most of this year on a solo US tour, playing acoustic sets of his indie rock band’s 2022 album, LABYRINTHITIS. Now, the Vancouver-based artist has announced a handful of Canadian dates, with a hometown show at the Commodore Ballroom on November 9.

LABYRINTHITIS was written remotely in 2020, during the pandemic, with Bejar and his frequent collaborator, John Collins, exchanging ideas between Vancouver and Galiano Island. The album has received universal acclaim for its beautifully complex musical landscape and was shortlisted for the 2022 Polaris Music Prize.

“Really Really Light”, one of Bejar’s compositions, also appears on Continue as a Guest, the latest effort of his former band, The New Pornographers.
