The Saskatchewan RCMP has revealed the suspect's body has been identified in connection with a weekend mass murder.

Damien Sanderson's corpse was found in a heavily grassed area on the James Smith Cree Nation "in proximity to a house being investigated".

"We can confirm he has visible injuries, not believed to be self-inflicted at this point," RCMP Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore said in a statement today. "The exact cause of death will be determined in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Coroner's Office with a date and time to be determined."

She also stated that the deceased man's brother Myles may have also sustained injuries.

"Even if he is injured, it does not mean he is not still dangerous," Blackmore said. "Myles has a lengthy criminal record involving both persons and property crimes.|

The two have been linked to a stabbing spree that killed 10 people. Another 19 were injured and there are 13 different crime scenes on the James Smith Cree Nation and in the Saskatchewan town of Weldon.

Myles Sanderson faces three counts of first-degree murder. He's 6'1" and about 240 pounds.
