Two of Queen Elizabeth's grandsons have dismissed a story in a British newspaper, widely believed to be the Times.

The Rupert Murdoch–owned national daily reported that Prince William and Prince Harry had a falling-out because of the older brother's "bullying".

"The rift is said to date to before Harry and Meghan’s wedding," the Times reported. "According to repeated reports, Harry felt that William was insufficiently welcoming towards Meghan when they first started dating. Their relationship has apparently not recovered."

The princes say that this is simply untrue.

“Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a U.K. newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge," the brothers said in a statement. “For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”

The Times also reported that the Duchess of Sussex wants to step away from the Royal family, whereas her husband wants to maintain some links. The brothers did not deny this story.

Royal family members are meeting at the Queen's Sandringham estate to discuss future roles for Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, who will reportedly be in contact by phone from Canada.

Prince Philip was seen driving away from the grounds and is reportedly furious about the latest turn of events.

Queen Elizabeth has granted Prince Harry and his wife Meghan their request to live part-time in Canada.

"My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family,'' the British monarch said in a statement. "Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working members of the Royal family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.''

Meghan is reportedly in B.C. with her son Archie. That has fuelled speculation that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might decide to live in British Columbia, at least on a part-time basis.
