With almost 20 years in the business, STARS continues to prove themselves as some of the finest musical storytellers in the country. Since their first album Nightsongs in 2001, STARS returns time and again to reassure us that within the experience of failure is the path to a life well lived. And much to the excitement of its avid fan base, the band now launches its eighth full-length release There Is No Love in Fluorescent Light, via Last Gang Records worldwide.
From the reflective beauty of Amy Millan’s vocal in “Privilege”, to Torquil Campbell’s contemplative lyric on “We Called It Love”, the two new tracks from its latest album prove that STARS still has the ability to tell the tales of our deepest emotions.
