Shooting in Surrey: 25-year-old male injured near Hawthorne Park in Guildford

      After a shooting took place in Guildford last night, police are asking for the public’s assistance in determining what happened.

      According to Surrey RCMP, around 10:45 p.m. on December 16, police received a report about possible gunfire heard near Hawthorne Park in the 10500 block of 144th Street in Surrey.

      On the way to the park, officers received a report about a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound at a nearby bus stop.

      The 25-year-old male victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

      Surrey RCMP are investigating the area today and are trying to determine the specific location of the shooting.

      Surrey RCMP stated that the shooting victim has been uncooperative with the investigation and has not been providing information.
