B.C. NDP's Spencer Chandra Herbert was reelected in the Vancouver–West End riding with 59.78 percent of the votes (8,195 out of 10,901 votes) with 60 of the 79 ballot boxes reported.

Chandra Herbert beat BC Liberal Party's Nigel Elliott (3,408 votes or 24.86 percent).

This will be his third term in office of Vancouver–West End. He won a by-election in 2008 in Vancouver-Burrard and then was elected in Vancouver–West End in 2009 and 2013. 

Chandra Herbert posted this message on his Facebook page after his win:

Thank you for all of your support. We won for the West End and Coal Harbour together. I am so honoured to have your trust and will work hard for you everyday. I have never taken you for granted, thank you for putting your trust in me. We can and will build a better B.C., together.

The West End has been a traditional community focal point for the city's LGBT communities and Chandra Herbert, who is openly gay and married to Romi Chandra Herbert, has long been an advocate for LGBT rights.

On Valentine's Day, Romi and Spencer became fathers to a baby boy.
