Kits Pool Concession is opening a pop-up patio

In what feels like a consolation prize for anyone mourning that Kitsilano Pool will remain closed this summer, the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation has just announced plans for a licensed pop-up patio as an extension of the pool’s concession stand.

In partnership with Batch (the same folks behind the container pop-up opposite the former Edgewater Casino), the concession pop-up will serve alcohol on weekends. Guests can expect views of the beach and mountains (and closed pool) while taking in live performances. There will also be classic eats such as burgers, hot dogs, and fish and chips.

While nothing takes the sting out of losing the opportunity to be poolside at this saltwater haven, we’ll take what we can get.
