The Beatles are overrated

Sure, the Fab Four have some good songs, they’re but honestly, I think they’re overrated. I preferred to listen to some more obscure music groups. Don’t even get me started on this song Yesterday. That song is overplayed. John Lennon hit the nail on the head when he said “I don’t believe in yesterday by the way. I‘m only interested in what I am doing now.”

Most people tend to over analyze the group when they weren’t even in the band. A lot of people blame Yoko Ono for breaking the group up, but really it doesn’t matter who broke them up. It was time for new artists of the 70s to come in like David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, T-Rex, and so forth.

your opinion doesn't matter

and it won't change their popularity.
If you were a lot smarter you'd realize that "yesterday"(the most covered song in history) is actually about today.

Sure other bands can be good too but your non musical background and your arrigant opinions mean nothing. this isn't a confesdion. its more like whining.

Yes the Beatles were a bit of a miss-mash

on the cutting edge of generational shifting tides. But they were a forerunner of a cultural rennaisance and did introduce much profound music genre rhythms and instrumentation, plus their lyrics invoked universal spirituality including Vedic and Buddhist insights. Of interest, some x-ian religoid extremests publicly burnt Beattles albums and books. Owy Wowy ! Will the homosapiens on this Planet of the Apes ever learn and be able to avoid a WW3 catastrophe beyond anything we can presently comprehend?

When I saw Ringo live at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre years ago, I wasn’t too impressed. He was in a grumpy mood and quite arrogant. Even people in the audience booed him. I also saw Paul at Rogers Arena and as far as I’m concerned, his voice doesn’t sound as good as it used to. He sounds like Winnie the Pooh. Surprised that they both got away with releasing “Now And Then“ when George actually hated that song. He felt the song was a piece of garbage and that John started going off a bit towards the end of his song writing.

I view them as a proto-boy band. Their songs are catchy in a bubblegum-teen-pop kind of way but hardly "deep." They cleverly captured the zeitgeist of the 60's by espousing Eastern spirituality but only superficially. There is no there there.

I agree, who cares about the Beatles. That band has been non existent for over 50 years.

I'm so glad we finally found the Beatles' gatekeeper. Thanks for telling me how to feel about them. At last... I can get a full night's sleep.

A teen boy band that co-opted the hippy psyche movement. If they had the chance, they would have made millions by moving to Seattle and becoming a grunge band.

Don't even get me started

So is Taylor Swift. I'm tired of hearing about her 24/7. What makes her so special? Her music just doesn't do it for me.
